Why Persian love phrases hit different

Persian doesn't do romance casually. It packs entire poems into single words. عزیزم (azizam) means "my dear" but it's used the way English speakers say "honey", dozens of times a day, in every kind of conversation.

قربونت برم (ghorboonet beram) literally translates to "may I be sacrificed for you", which sounds intense in English but in Farsi it's thrown around affectionately, like saying "you're the best". If your partner is Persian-speaking, hearing you try these phrases will mean something.
